HDC

HDC is a holding company, a parent entity that owns and manages a group of operating subsidiaries, listed on KOSPI, Korea's main stock exchange.

Its subsidiaries span residential and commercial construction, gas-fired power generation, industrial plastics and piping materials, and smart-home technology services. The single most important structural fact is that HDC itself earns income primarily through investment returns, brand-licensing fees, management advisory fees, dividends, and rental income collected from its subsidiaries, rather than from direct operations.
