i-Components makes two types of specialist plastic films used in electronic displays: barrier coating films, which protect display components from moisture and oxygen, and extruded light-guide films, which direct backlighting in screens for laptops and tablets.

It supplies these materials to manufacturers in the broader IT and display industry, and is listed on KOSDAQ, South Korea's tech-focused small-cap exchange. Its business is split between barrier films, used in quantum-dot televisions, monitors, e-readers, electronic shelf labels, and flexible OLED displays, and light-guide films, where demand from major customers has been slowing.
