CQV makes pearl-effect pigments, specialty colorants that give surfaces a shimmering, iridescent or metallic appearance, used in cosmetics, industrial coatings, wallcoverings, building materials, and automotive paints.

It supplies these pigments to manufacturers across those industries and is listed on KOSDAQ, South Korea's tech and small-cap exchange. The company's automotive-grade pearl pigments, particularly those based on a synthetic-mica base material, meet the stringent durability standards that exterior car finishes require, a segment where only a small number of global suppliers can qualify. CQV is also developing aluminum-paste pigments, a newer product line that combines the opacity of aluminum flake with the color characteristics of pearl pigments.
