Semcns makes a ceramic component called a Space Transformer, a precision part inside probe cards, the test equipment used to check whether chips on a silicon wafer work before they are cut and packaged.

Probe-card makers and, ultimately, semiconductor manufacturers rely on these components during the wafer-testing stage of chip production. Listed on KOSDAQ, Korea's tech-focused small-cap board, the company handles the entire process from raw ceramic material through to finished product in-house, and its multilayer ceramic substrate technology requires near-perfect electrical continuity across millions of tiny connections, creating high barriers for new entrants.
